The next in our list was Oeschinensee lake. This beautiful lake surrounding alps and glaciers is located in Bernese Oberland and is one of the popular tourist destination in Bernese Oberland. The direct train from Bern takes you to Kandersteg in around one hour. One could experience and imagine the beauty at top from Kandersteg station itself. This small village surrounds so many tourist spots that one can even think of spending couple nights at this place. A 10 min walk from Kandersteg takes to Oeschninen Bahn and journey ticks to Oeschinensee Lake. The cable car offboard at Oeschinen and then a trail of 20 mins takes us to pristine and serene Oeschinensee lake.The site even offers a facility to hire a boat and take a round of lake to experience the panoramic view in and around lake. On the way back, near cable car station is Rodelbahn, where one can purchase tickets for tobaggon run to end the trip with thrill and fun. This trip for us was lot of fun including trail, lake at top of hills in Oeschnien valley and to end fun filled tobagging. I would recommend this site to any avid hiker and biker as well.
